Through-hole multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) — compact flat parts with capacitance from 1 nF to 10 μF, voltage 16-100 V. Dielectrics NP0/C0G (stable for frequency-critical circuits), X7R (general purpose), Y5V (high capacitance, less stable). Filter by capacitance, voltage, dielectric, and tolerance. Used for IC supply decoupling, noise filtering, PWM controller timing networks, op-amp bypass, and data lines. A modern replacement for ceramic discs in compact builds.
