Wirewound 5 W fixed resistors in a rectangular cement (ceramic) body. Resistances 0.1 Ω - 10 kΩ, tolerance ±5%. Filter by resistance, tolerance, and dimensions. High thermal dissipation, non-flammable. Used as PSU dummy loads, dropping ballasts for AC-line LED strings, ammeter shunts, inrush current limiters, snubbers for inductive loads, and in welding gear and frequency converters. Can be heatsink-mounted.
